Hydraulic Control Valves

Control Valves, Hydraulic Control Valves, Monoblock Valves, Sectional Valves, Proportional Valves

Monoblock Valves

Monoblock valves are compact, one-piece valves commonly used in small to medium-sized hydraulic systems. These valves are designed with multiple ports in a single block, reducing the need for separate components or multiple connections.

Design & Functionality:

A monoblock valve consists of a single body with internal passages, through which hydraulic fluid flows. These valves provide directional control and are often used for simple applications like lifting and tilting in mobile equipment.

Applications:

  • Monoblock valves are often used in machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, and tractors, where a compact and efficient control valve is needed for operating functions like lifting and steering.

Advantages:

  • Simple and compact design
  • Easy to install and maintain
  • Low cost and space-efficient

Section Valves

Section valves, also known as modular valves, consist of multiple valve sections mounted on a single manifold. Each section controls a specific function of the hydraulic system, such as pressure, flow, or direction.

Design & Functionality:

Section valves are often used in larger, more complex systems where several functions must be controlled simultaneously. The modular design allows users to customise the valve bank by adding or removing sections based on their specific requirements.

Applications:

Section valves are commonly used in industrial machinery, such as injection molding machines, construction equipment, and hydraulic presses, where multiple hydraulic functions need to be controlled independently but integrated within a single system.

Advantages:

  • Customisable to meet specific system needs
  • Can handle more complex hydraulic systems
  • Scalable for future system upgrades

Proportional Valves

Proportional valves provide variable control over hydraulic flow and pressure. They allow for smooth, continuous adjustments based on a control signal, enabling precise control of actuator speed and position.

Design & Functionality:

Unlike traditional on/off valves, proportional valves modulate the flow of hydraulic fluid in proportion to the input signal, such as an electric or hydraulic control input. This provides precise control over speed and force, making them ideal for applications that require high accuracy and smooth movement.

Applications:

Proportional valves are widely used in applications like robotics, CNC machines, and hydraulic systems with complex movement requirements, such as cranes, industrial presses, and automated manufacturing lines.

Advantages:

  • Allows for fine, proportional control of actuator movements
  • Offers smooth operation with minimal shocks or jerks
  • Provides energy efficiency by adjusting flow as needed
